Charity Wings Art & Craft Center, one of San Marcos’ best kept secrets, is celebrating 10 years of supporting the community and other non-profits groups through art. This coming May 5 through 14, the nonprofit art center will sponsor a plethora of events and classes, many of them free, to engage the community in the activities available at the center.

Saturday, May 14, the community of San Marcos is invited to Art Decade*nce, a free family street festival in the new North City neighborhood where the art center is located. In fact, the North City development is the festival’s Platinum Sponsor. Other community participants include San Marcos Boys & Girls Club, North County Arts Collaborative, Stone Brewing, The Bellows, URGE Gastropub, 1850 Realty, and a variety of local artists and musicians.

The mission of Charity Wings is to be an inspiring place for people of all ages and abilities to Gather, Give Back and Create. The center offers daily open studio maker space year-round and hosts free creativity sessions for other groups serving foster families, those with life-limiting illness, veterans, and more.
