Susan G. Komen San Diego hosted its 3rd Annual Dinner Symposium, “Screens, Genes & The Choices We Make: A Conversation on Research, Treatment and Lifestyle,” in March. Guests were treated to a unique farm-to-table menu and invited to discover the role of mindfulness in promoting and sustaining health and wellness. The event, moderated by former Good Morning America co-host, journalist, and breast cancer survivor Joan Lunden, brought together leading cancer experts to give insights on the latest breast cancer research, treatments, and scientific findings. The event also raised funds to support Komen San Diego’s Mobile Mammography Coach to provide mammograms to uninsured or under-insured individuals.

Komen San Diego is the county’s largest funder of free breast cancer services and support, including diagnostic mammograms, life-saving screenings, temporary financial aid for living expenses, transportation, meal deliveries, education, and more. For more information go to
