The San Marcos Sheriff’s Station recently welcomed Dave Brown as its new captain. Captain Brown began his career with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department as a probation department intern 28 years ago, and has since worked throughout the county in a variety of roles. Captain Brown has worked in homicide, as a special assistant to the sheriff, and in special investigations-criminal intelligence. His accolades include earning the Medal of Lifesaving as a patrol deputy. His daughter is currently attending California State University San Marcos (CSUSM), and his son is a CSUSM graduate.

“Captain Brown is a well-respected member of the sheriff’s department and we are fortunate to have this capable lawman assigned to our City,” said City Manager Jack Griffin. “We have welcomed Captain Brown to San Marcos and look forward to partnering with him and all the dedicated employees at the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station.”
